You may notice that MacBook (13-inch, Mid 2010) plays the startup chime when initially powered on, but then has no audio from the internal speakers. Additionally, the internal speakers or default audio out item in the Sound System Preferences pane may be grayed out or unavailable to select. You may be unable to connect to wireless networks using AirPort on MacBook (13-inch, Mid 2010).
MacBook (13-inch, Mid 2010)
This may occur when the wrong version of Mac OS X Snow Leopard is installed on MacBook (13-inch, Mid 2010). Use the correct restore DVDs that were included in the box and designed specifically for MacBook (13-inch, Mid 2010). Use the install DVDs that came with your computer.
Do not use a Mac OS X v10.6.0 or v10.6.3 Snow Leopard retail DVD (or restore media from a different Mac that shipped with Snow Leopard) to restore MacBook (13-inch, Mid 2010); use only DVD that was included in the box.
