Restoring your ipod / ipod touch

Restoring an ipod /ipod touch is simple. Firstly attach the ipod to your Mac using the provided USB cable.

Open up itunes and wait for the ipod to appear in the left hand column under the heading “Devices’.

When the ipod has appeared you can click on your ipod and the ipod main screen will appear. Make sure you are on the ‘Summary’ tab and from here you should see a ‘Restore’ button.

Click ‘Restore’ and a smaller window should appear, if your ipod is up-to-date then just click ‘Restore’ to confirm. If your ipod requires an update you will see ‘Restore and Update’ click this to begin the process.
