Word for Mac was released in 1985.

The first version of Word for Windows was released in 1989.


Bill Gates' $50 million residence (drafted by Seattle architectural firm Bohlin Cywinski Jackson) was designed on Macintosh computers. 


Microsoft doesn't even use (Windows) NT on their own Web site.  They use Unix.


The Apple I went on sale in July 1976 and was market-priced at $666.66.


The first Apple II computers went on sale on June 5, 1977 with a 1 MHz microprocessor and 4 KB of RAM (expandable to 48 KB).


The iPod is a portable media player designed and marketed by Apple and launched on October 23, 2001.


If you purchased only average priced singles from the itunes store, it would cost about £31600 to fill a current iPod Classic.


Launched in 2001, the first iPod offered up to a whopping 10 Gigabytes of storage.


Steve Jobs left apple end of May 1985.

He came back to the company he co-founded 11 years later. 


Jobs has taken a $1 annual salary since returning to the Cupertino-based company in 1997.
