iPad - and 3G. The whole world in your hands?

iPad - and 3G. The whole world in your hands? I bought my iPad on launch day back in May. Firstly the decision of what size to buy, as I didn’t think I could fill 64Gb as I don’t have that much music and films, I opted for the 32Gb with 3G, middle of the road. I choose the 3G option because I was sure in my mind that I would need to use the Internet when I am out and about with the iPad. However, five weeks on and I haven’t even looked into tariffs, let alone activate it!! I have wifi at work and wifi at home and when I am using the iPad elsewhere, its to play a game or read a book that I have already downloaded in a wifi environment to make it quicker. It may help though that I have an iPhone, so the odd time I need to use the internet to find out what time my favourite shoe shop opens, that does the job for me, but my advice is to have a long think about whether you really want to spend the extra money for the 3G or could you put it to better use.

You may be right, 3G could help in business trips or meetings but other than that wi-fi is enough, I wouldn’t invest in 3G, also if you already have iPhone, better to try to avoid investing in iPad. Too many gadgets and less time to use everyone smile

This world is made up of a majority of techno-dependent folk, it comes to no surprise that the installment of the GPS application on the iPad 3G made it a big win for the iPad fans.

iPad is good enough without 3G slot, we can invest better the money, enough having wi-fi connection. What is bad is that we don’t have usb connection, it’s basically an iPhone a bit bigger. Yes, we can sync from our computer lots of things but other than that we cannot use the iPad like we use for instance the laptop/netbook. It’s more like a reader than like a PC.
